What is the WMS?

Process Warehouse Management System

  • 1. Advanced shipping notice (ASN) Advanced Delivery Notification is a notification regarding delivery. It is usually sent electronically as an EDI document, providing initial information for receiving goods in the HIWS system.
  • 2. Receiving Goods Procedures involve receiving and unloading goods, as well as preparing staff to unload goods into the warehouse area. Once the stock has been received, the cargo should be counted to ensure the correct quantity was shipped.
  • 3. Inspection This involves checking the quality and quantity of received goods. The product type and quantity are confirmed by scanning barcodes or QR codes. Once the product has been confirmed, HIWS will generate an inspection slip for confirmation.
  • 4. Put Away This process involves delivering goods to the optimal location in the warehouse and utilizing space most effectively.
  • 5. Stock Management This includes functions to support product management, such as moving pallets, changing locations, receiving reverse orders, pallet relocation, and item relocation.
  • 6. Delivery Order A delivery order is a document that instructs warehouse employees to prepare products according to the desired conditions and quantities requested by the customer.
  • 7. Picking Picking is the process of collecting products from storage locations based on customer orders. It is considered the step most prone to errors. HIWS has a function that supports barcode scanning devices or QR codes to ensure the accuracy of product picking on the picking slip, allowing warehouse employees to pick up products from the specified location correctly. Picked items will be deducted from the stock in the handheld device by scanning barcodes.
  • 8. Packing Packing is the process of packaging products. HIWS will generate a packing list document that shows the details of the items contained in each package, making it convenient to release the products.
  • 9. Inspection Inspection is the process of checking the conditions and quantities of goods based on the delivery order instructions.
  • 10.Shipping The final process involves confirming the loading of goods onto the vehicle and preparing for delivery to the destination. The HIWS system also supports integration with the TMS system to track the delivery status in real-time.

  • HIWS offers installation options for On-Premise or cloud services.
  • Integration with EDI for FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, Text File, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, and other ERP.
  • Reports can be generated in PDF, CSV, Excel, and Text file formats.
  • Multi-language support includes Thai, English, and Japanese as standard.
